The music consists of arrangements of secular and sacred music for lute, intabulated by Melchiore de Barberiis, and compositions by himself.

Dedicated to Ercole da San Bonifazio.

With a table of contents entitled ‘Tavola’. The last line reads ‘NUMERO XXXIIII’, most likely referring to the number of pieces in the volume (including second parts).

Copy at K.7.c.20. Bearing the bookplate of Alfred Cortot and former reference number 18 MIA. The words ‘Boetticher: Vienna’ are written in MS on the front binding sheet.
