Abstract

Anomalous corrections to the resistance have been found in mesoscopic normal-metal-superconductor (NS) structures below T. They differ from those described by the classical "proximity" theory in sensitivity to magnetic field, temperature, and rf irradiation. Contrary to the case of the classical proximity effect the anomalous corrections can be both positive and negative. A possible model which describes the anomalous corrections reported here is discussed.
